    My name is Lucy Wade and I am a Medical Herbalist. I am a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and have a diploma in Herbal Medicine. I came to practicing herbal medicine through a combination of loving botany and seeing friends and family needing extra support in keeping or returning to health.

    Understanding health conditions and how they affect patients differently is a large part of my practice, especially within the areas of neurology and psycho-emotional health.

    About herbal medicine

    Herbal medicine is hugely varied in what it can offer and is tailored to the patient. This means acknowledging all of the complexities that have lead to the current health circumstances. For me, an essential part of being a herbalist is listening without judgement to your story and helping see where plants may be of value to gently guide you back to health.

    Herbal medicine can help anyone but has a particular affinity for:

    How I work

    I am very happy to work alongside your current health team, be that orthodox healthcare or another holistic practitioner. This includes safely prescribing alongside any medication you may be taking. I am comprehensively trained in drug safety as well as pathophysiology and plant pharmacology to ensure safe and rewarding prescribing. I offer a 10 minute free phone call to answer any questions around herbal medicine and to understand how I might help you. Following this, a consultation (up to 90 minutes) where we will explore your heath in more detail. You will then receive a bespoke formulation of herbs as well as lifestyle and diet support. The herbs may be in a tincture, tea, or non alcoholic options according to each patient.
