Meet Liz – Kinesiology: Listening to the Body’s Wisdom
So… what actually is kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a holistic therapy that uses gentle muscle testing to listen to the body and identify where stress or imbalance may be held. Rather than guessing, we use your body’s natural feedback to guide the session. Physical symptoms, emotions, nutrition, stress levels and energy are all interconnected — kinesiology works with the whole person. How did you come to this work?
My path into kinesiology began through my own health journey. I had tried many approaches and trained in different modalities, searching for answers. When I discovered kinesiology, everything came together. It was the most effective support I experienced — and it beautifully integrated all the knowledge and training I had gathered along the way. That experience shapes how I practise today. What happens in a session?
We begin with whatever is going on for you. Through gentle muscle testing, we explore what may be contributing — physically, emotionally, nutritionally or energetically. The muscle response provides clear feedback, helping us understand what your system needs in order to rebalance. Sessions are calm, collaborative and guided by your body.Do you use other approaches as well?
Yes. Alongside kinesiology, I may integrate Bach flower remedies, homeopathy, energy healing techniques and the integration of retained primitive reflexes. I often draw on a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective too, working with meridians and the five elements to support healthy energy flow. Everything is tailored to the individual. Can kinesiology help with nutrition?
Absolutely. One of the things many people appreciate is that kinesiology takes the guesswork out of food and supplements by asking your body directly. We can explore supportive foods, check whether supplements are beneficial, and look at possible food intolerances — creating a plan that is personal to you. What do people come for?
A wide range of things — hormonal changes (including menopause), digestive issues, stress and anxiety, sleep problems, fatigue (including ME and fibromyalgia), skin conditions and pain.Often, people notice shifts beyond the original reason they came. As the body begins to rebalance, energy improves, emotions feel steadier, and a greater sense of clarity and ease can emerge.
Do I need to have a specific problem?
Not at all. You might come with something very clear, or you might just know you don’t feel like yourself lately. Both are welcome.Who can you work with?
Kinesiology is suitable for all ages, from children to adults, and sessions are always adapted to the person in front of me. If you’re curious about whether kinesiology might support you — whether you have a specific concern or simply don’t feel quite yourself — I’m always happy to have a chat.I truly believe the body is always communicating with us. Sometimes it just needs the space to be heard.
