Experience
Based on over 20 years of experience, extensive training and clinical experience in the field of Chinese Medicine, my intention is for you to feel confident that your best interests are always at heart. Being a practitioner of Acupuncture, Shiatsu and Qigong means that I can use one or a combination of these disciplines to offer a comprehensive and individual service that addresses your needs physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

About Alex
Alex Turner Lic Ac, ACC, BSc (Hons), MRSS(T) has been a complementary health practitioner since 1995.

Acupuncture
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Acupuncture from the University of Kingston where he studied for 3 and half years at the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine and a diploma from The Devon School of Shiatsu where he also taught for many years. His style of acupuncture integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element acupuncture. As well as using techniques such as moxibustion, cupping and guasha, he also brings his bodywork experience to the treatment, which may include techniques such as acupressure, Channel palpation and gentle stretching.

Shiatsu
Alex was Course Director and tutor at The Devon School of Shiatsu before moving to Bristol. As well has having a busy private practice he worked for many years as part of The Core Therapy Team at the Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre where he is an acupuncturist and shiatsu practitioner on The Treatment Support Clinic. He also teaches Qi Gong and relaxation techniques.

Alex is a registered and fully licensed member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians and adheres to their codes and ethics of professionalism.

Your initial consultation and treatment lasts 75 minutes, so there will be plenty of time for you to explain your health concerns and feel listened to carefully, patiently and compassionately. You will have time to discuss and ask questions if you are unsure of anything concerning your health and your treatment.

Initial consultation and treatment:

Acupuncture & Shiatsu – between 75-90 mins. Cost : £75

Follow up treatment:

Acupuncture – 1 hour. Cost : £60
Shiatsu – 1 hour. Cost : £65
